The shadow will be a horror filmed which targets people who like horror films of ages 15 and above. The way i mainly hope to appeal to these ages are to make my horror trailer seem different to others of its type i am doing this by using a boy instead of a girl which challenges codes and conventions.
The story line will start with a boy saying bye to his parents who have just left to go on holiday for the next week, the boy is enjoying the sense of freedom and relaxing and goes out one day to visit his grandparents. While he is eating he is talking to the granddad and this is when the audience find out that they use to live in the house before their parents however they moved out and allowed their son to have it for his family. This is followed by the granddad telling a story about how he his wife had to move out on the 31st of October every year as strange things would happen. The boy leaves after thinking the granddad was joking and pulling his leg when that night a glass falls off the cabinet and smashes the boy then grabs his old camera and charges it waiting for October the 31st which turns out to be a eventful night. The trailer ends with cuts of feet walking sloweley towards the camera which is lying on the ground and then it goes to narrative titles saying "The Shadow" "Coming Soon". During these title their will be heavy breathing and at the end you will see the family coming back seeing the camera playing on the TV and a shot of the family gasping in horror. This will provide a element of suspense and i hope it will encourage people to watch the whole movie.
